Vets League, match one, Battersea

Both the women’s and men’s team headed up to Battersea for the first of the 4 fixtures this season looking for strong performances to give us a good start.
The Women’s team produced a superb effort on the night to claim a convincing victory with a huge 192 points to closest rival Serpentine 155 points. This was a very impressive result.

The Men despite, missing 3 key athletes and not being able to cover all events, came so close to winning but came up short by just 3 points, with 173 in 2nd behind Herne Hill on 176 points.

The next fixture is our Home match at Uxbridge on Monday June 13th. Its imperative we put out our strongest possible Men and Women teams as with a win here it will put both in a strong position.

Please support the teams on the night whether it be competing, helping the officials or time keeping.

Jason.
