Upper YDL Fixture 2 – 27th May 2018

The 2nd upper YDL competition took place on Sunday 27th of May at the Linford Christie stadium, reports Courtney Clarke.

It was very hot but the athletes did an amazing job against tough opposition. The coaches are all so very proud of the young athletes.

We won the competition with a considerable point difference. Roll on number 3.

Alison Alford also reports that once again our Javelin throwers showed the other clubs how strong we are and that we mean business.

Our U17’s and U20’s were competing at a very hot Wormwood Scrubs. Our U17 boys Ben and Jack won both A and B stream with PB’s, Ben throwing 46.17 and Jack over 47m. Holly won the U17 girls with over 38m who is gradually returning from injury and Emily who won the U20’s just short of her PB and throwing the 600g Javelin in her first season in the age group. One very proud coach.
