Under 20’s South of England Champs

Aryan Padaruth had a great season last year and for 2022 has moved up into the U20’s age category.  The sequence of having a strong year, followed by not such a strong one is normal for our maturing athletes, due to the age classifications.  However Aryan has continued to go from strength to strength even though he is one of the youngest in his age category.

Yesterday 19th June was the U20’s South of England Championship, which was held at the Melbourne Stadium in Chelmsford.  Aryan won!  Fantastic throwing.

In April this year Aryan threw at the YDL Upper fixture, which Hillingdon AC hosted.  He threw a distance of 65.68m, which is a NEW club record.  The previous record being set at the Hayes track in 1990 with a distance of 55.86m from Kelly Smith.

Aryan will be in Manchester next weekend at the Muller UK Champs. You can watch Aryan in action live via the British Athletics website.
