Sportshall Sunday

On Sunday 10th February an early morning start meant another trip for the u13 and u15 boys and girls teams as they gathered force to beat their opponents in this years Regional Sportshall Final reports Diane Gibbons.

Representing West London we had tough company with South London, Kent and Central London. After a quick briefing it was down to very hard racing, competitive field events and fantastic relays all day resulting in some very tired athletes who had given their all. In the boys u13 competition we came 3rd , the girls fared slightly better coming 2nd some very tough competition but lots of work for next year. In the u15 competition the girls came 3rd and the boys came 2nd by just 3 points. So close to going to the Birmingham final. Lots of medals given out at the end. Thanks must go to Sue Bishop , Malcolm French and Jenny Pledge who officiated for us and to all those parents who came along and supported us – I think we were definately the noisiest. Results are available on sportshall.org as well as the noticeboard in the club room at the track.
