SEAA Cross Country Relays Juniors teams – Saturday 19th October

A good day secured by some very decent performances at this high standard relay race. With a good number of juniors dropping out from this local race the remaining juniors left put our teams to top 10 positions. Some of these juniors raced 3k cross country midweek for the Hillingdon schools qualifying for London Championships and still turned up on tired legs. With the course of 2k flat fast grass made soft with recent rain fall, with the exception of the U/17s who raced over 3k.

5 U/13 girls Asmaa Abdirahman 7.48 (3rd), Zoe Knight 8.51 (10th), Scarlett Mclellan 9.00 (11th) B TEAM Abigail 9.10 and Isla Mcgovern 9.05

2 U/13 boys Ryan Stoddart 8.11 (20th) and Harvey Williams 9.10 (30th) No 3rd leg.

1 U/15 girl. Nicole McGovern sparkled to produce the race of the day by winning the 1st leg and the fastest time in 7.23.

8 U/15 boys, Taaj Ojha 7.14 (21st) Abdi Hamud 6.56 (10th), Finn Coombe 7.00 (10th) Finn debut after a midweek 5k x/c 17.50 – 5k! B TEAM Zac Dickens 7.28 (29th) Moshin Moallin 7.20 (20th) FaysalMohamed 8.02 (24th) C TEAM Patrick Hyde 7.40 (36th) Sam Knight 8.23 (39th) Sam Raced midweek 5k x/c 20.01

The 5 U/17s young men raced to 7th with Adam Ireland 10.49 Hanad Ahmed 11.09 and Max Mcgarvie 11.19 7th (team). B team Nathan Hackley 11.06, Abdi Khalif 11.42

I am confident the teams will improve for Mansfield.
