Met League Race Two, Wormwood Scrubs, 12/11/2022

Hillingdon AC’s Senior Men finished 12th and last in Division One at the second Met League fixture of the season at Wormwood Scrubs which leaves the team in 12th place in Division One after two fixtures.

Kirk O’Rourke was first scorer for the club in 80th position with new member Jason Ferrett second scorer in 118th place with Will Sawtell, (123rd), Dan Thompson (179th) and Guy Green (184th) all finishing in the top 200. Zachary Dickens marked his senior cross-county debut as sixth scorer for the team in 227th place but was the last of the scoring 12 to break the top 300 with Dave Smith (304th) heading a group of veteran athletes comprised of Clive Wickham (316th), Jeff Shotton (354th), Patrick Griffin (364th), Iain Betson (369th) and Rob Poulter (378th) to complete the  A team.

Jeremy Cox (382nd), Paul McCay (431st) and Michael Illing (437th) made their cross country season debuts while Jason Steel made a welcome return to cross country racing after a long gap to finish 404th as an incomplete B team finished 14th in Division Three.
