Middlesex Cross Country Championships

It was the Middlesex Cross Country Championships on Saturday 4th January at Trent Park and the Hillingdon AC juniors turned up in force!

Well done to:

U11 girls: Lucy (20th)

U11 boys: Joey

U13 girls: Elsie (4th), Anna, Ada & Annabelle

U13 boys: Freddie & Alastair

U15 girls: Charna, Rosie & Ava

U15 boys: Dylan (2nd), Charlie (16th), Jack & Mason

It was great to see so many Hillingdon juniors running on a very tough course in such cold and icy conditions, well done all!

No New Year hangover for the HAC ladies! Following the recent success in late 2024, on Saturday 4th January the Middlesex Cross Country Championships at Trent Park saw 6 ladies deliver for HAC and themselves. Despite challenging conditions – weather and course, Catriona 8th, Hannah 11th, Freya 25th, Caroline 34th and Liz 56th ensured that the team delivered a bronze medal, only 2 points off the silver! The medals keep on coming! And in the U20 race, Hollie came a respectable 8th. Go HAC ladies, 2025 could be the year we deliver a gold!

Hillingdon AC’s senior men’s team finished in eighth place in the Middlesex Cross Country Championships at Trent Park in Cockfosters at the weekend thanks to James Laing 16th, Connell Metcalf 37th, Dan Thompson 44th, Jeff Shotton 82nd, Andrew Murphy 116th and Trevor Steeples 126th with TVH, London Heathside and Serpentine taking the top three places in the team competition. In cold and muddy conditions (it is cross country in January), athletes representing the club acquitted themselves well and should take satisfaction from the fact that we finished a scoring six!

We look forward to the upcoming Metropolitan League fixture at Welwyn Garden City this weekend, good luck to all competing!
