Four club members took part in the Derwentwater 10 on Sunday 1st November, as part of Fluff Tours annual pilgrimage to Keswick. This picturesque but hilly course has been a regular fixture for club members in recent years. Martin Bateman led this year’s effort finishing in 15th place in 1:00:05. A fine effort despite a late night on the Saturday in the Oddfellows Arms with Erroll Ramnath and John Lee. Next in was Paul Leppard in 45th place in 1:03:50 who was followed in by Dave Smith in 1:10:27 (115th). John Doyle, who was a late entry on the day and whose team mates hadn’t known he had entered until he finished in 1:32:04 ( 336th). John Moran, running for Ackworth Road Runners, but spending the week with Hillingdon AC on Fluff Tours deserves a mention 1:24:19 ( 262nd). Well done all.
