Jason Steel and Dave Smith took on the challenge of Herberts Hole on Sunday 15th November. This is a challenging multi-terrain race on a picturesque course in the Chilterns with four large hills as you climb out of, and then drop back down into, the valley. Both athletes are developing their fitness but were happy with their performance. Dave Smith was 41st in 47:33 and Jason 71st in 51:52. there were 191 competitors in the men’s race.

From 1 April 2026, the age groups in which young athletes compete under UKA rules will change from U13, U15, U17 and U20, as is currently the case, to U14, U16, U18 and U20.
