A team of 15 of us headed to what was the final SAL meeting of the season held on Saturday 10th Sept at Basingstoke.
We had excellent performances all round and covered as many events as possible, the team spirit was superb and we worked together to make the day a good finish to the season. We finished the day in 3rd position overall out of the 4 teams competing.
Its hard to pick here as everyone did so well but a few performances to note were,
Lucy Wilcock and Lotte Visser winning A and B string Javelins.
Christine Heemskerk’s superb efforts in doing 5 field events.
Jeremy Collis the same great effort in his 5 events also including the Pole Vault which he had never tried before.
Tom Norman winning the A Discus with a brilliant throw of 47.60m
James Laing wining both 5k and 1500m in excellent times of 15:55s and 4:24s respectively.
A big thank you to Suzanne and Phil for their help with the match and Roger for cheering us all on at the finish line.
