It doesn’t seem like too long ago that we wrapped up the 2025 edition, but we’re excited to announce the fixtures for the 2026 edition of the Summer Series!
This year’s series features a streamlined programme of road and trail races throughout the summer. These races have been carefully selected to encourage strong participation from club members, build team spirit, and foster a sense of community.
Points are awarded for simply taking part, with the leaderboard updated after each event. At the end of series, the overall winners will be presented with the Summer Series Shield at our end-of-season awards night.
With events ranging from 5km to half marathons, there’s something for everyone! Whether you’re chasing the Summer Series Shield, personal bests or enjoying a social event with clubmates!
There are separate competitions for men and women. 25 points are up for grabs for each first man and woman, 24 points for second and so on, until the scoring reaches 5 points. Every finisher beyond this will also earn 5 points.
As always, you are responsible for your own entries. Please ensure that during the entry process for each event, you register under Hillingdon Athletic Club. Failure to do so will mean that your results will not be recorded in the Summer Series. If you’ve entered without this information, you have 24 hours to declare this to either Dave or Sam, so that your results can be recorded.

New Scoring System
There’s a major change to the Summer Series this year, we’re introducing a new scoring system designed to reward both event performances and regular participation. The aim is to make the Summer Series more inclusive and competitive across all ages and abilities.
Individual performances will now be scored using age grading, ensuring participants are scored fairly relative to their age category. Strong performances will now be rewarded across the field, not just at the front of the race.
Your age category will be taken from the results and applied to give you an age graded percentage. These percentages will be totalled and the maximum points (25) will be given to the participant with the highest age graded score. The second highest will earn 24 points and so on.
Consistency Counts
Consistency matters in the Summer Series, and you’ll need as many points as you can get your hands on! In 2026, participants will be rewarded with attendance points for each Summer Series fixture they take part in (you must appear as a finisher in the results classification).
Attendance points will be cumulative:
Your first event earns 1 additional point.
Your second event earns 2 additional points.
And so on, up to 9 additional points if all events are attended.
In total, there are 45 bonus points available just for turning up!
Missing a race won’t penalise your streak. For example, if you attend the first four events, miss the fifth and attend the sixth, you’ll still earn five attendance points for that race.
Now, onto the fixtures!
