Two Hillingdon Athletes represents their school counties at the prestigious England Schools Track & Field Championships at Birmingham’s Alexander Stadium last weekend.
With temperatures in the 30s, the two athletes competed in sweltering conditions and performed brilliantly.
Isabella Phillips represented Hillingdon in the intermediate girls’ Long Jump competition. Keeping her nerve and composure, Isabella reached the finals and finished in a fantastic 8th position. Isabella then took part in the 4x100m relay event, finishing just outside the medals in 4th position.
Sydney Taylor represented Berkshire in the junior girls’ 300m event. In the 30 degree heat, Sydney just missed out on the final, finishing 13th overall.
Well done to both athletes for performing so well in what is thought of as the biggest annual UK Track & Field competition for junior athletes.
