The weekend of the 20th & 21st June, saw the South of England U14/U16/U18 Championships take place in Chelmsford. It was a blistering hot weekend, which had been preceded by several days of record-breaking temperatures. The U16s had finished their GCSE’s and the U18 had finished their A-Levels, but there was work to be done at track & field.
HAC saw several junior athletes take the challenge to showcase their skills in a competitive arena as clubs from the whole region competed.
Zoe Morse U18W Javelin won a GOLD medal
Sydney Taylor U16G 200m won a SILVER medal
Nathan Griffiths U18M Javelin a season’s best
Marcus Sery U14B 200m faced tough competition in the heats
Luke Sery U18M 800m ran a solid time but did not qualify past the heats
The track & field season is a limited time but our athletes train all year to compete. Our Coaches look to develop each athlete to achieve faster, higher, longer results. Well done to everyone!
