This report marks my final news post of 2025 and more fittingly, it comes from one of our most cherished fixtures. The Lido Relays held on Sunday 28th December closed the club calendar out in style. A total of 99 participants over 36 teams set out to contest for the spoils in another fantastic edition over the 3 lap course!
The Lido Relays encapsulates everything what makes our club, bringing together members, family and friends contesting the event and cheering teams around the three lap course, all before rounding off the event back at the clubhouse!

Victory on the day went to the duo of Dylan Lewis and Luke Sery, who claimed 1st place in a combined time of 25:16. The battle for the top spot was incredibly tight, with just 13 seconds between 1st and 2nd place!
Dylan set the standard early, recording not only the fastest lap of the day, but the only sub-8-minute time, opening with a blistering 7:52. Luke followed, completing the 2nd lap in 8:43 before Dylan returned to complete his 2nd leg in 8:41 and sealing the victory. For those who believe in coincidences, Dylan and Luke were Team #1, placing 1st overall!
In second place was the duo of Travis Bowcambe (8:19, 8:24) and Liam Holbrook (8:40), completing the relays in 25:29.
With the top podium places claimed by duo teams, perhaps there is method behind the madness!
Rounding off the podium was Mason Hamdy (9:40), Paul Cuddihy (8:37) and Ryan Hamdy (8:45), completing the relays in a total time of 27:02.
A shoutout to Henry McGee, the only participant to complete all 3 laps, finishing a fantastic 5th overall in a total time of 29:07.
