SEAA MASTERS CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS: Saturday, 13 December 2014

Congratulations to the Hillingdon over 70s men’s team for their gold medal at the South of England South of England Masters Cross Country Championships, at Horspath, Oxford. Doug Milsom, Mick Miller and Rick made up this most senior scoring trio.
The Hillingdon women’s over-50s team came fourth, just missing bronze medal position to Winchester& District AC.
Regular veterans Lesley Conway and Pauline Fischer were joined by Wendy Harbottle, a seasoned road runner, making a rare appearance at cross country to make the 50s three-to-score. Individually they were 54th, 61st and 72nd of the 94 runners in soft mud conditions and placed 5th and 7th and 10th in the 55-59 age category.
Zoe Dobbs was Hillingdon lead lady overall in the race coming in at 51st and Donna Nash did well with 60th place considering she was recovering from a cold. Zoe was 22nd and Donna 23rd in their V45 age category.
Winchester & District runners took the top three places overall in the women’s masters race which was won by Lucy Elliot V45 in 22:36 secs.
