Sad News

I am sad to report that Roger Cressy passed away on the night of 10th December after a short stay in Wexham Park Hospital. Roger had suffered from M.S. for many years and had been carefully cared for by his wife, Norma reports Gerry Archer.
Roger joined Ruislip-Northwood A.C. in 1957 and by the time of the amalgamation with Finchley Harriers, to form Hillingdon A.C. in 1966, had become a fine distance runner. He won the first Christmas Road Race to be held at Ruislip and later represented Middlesex County at 20miles and won the Road Runners Club Marathon Champs.
Although confined to a wheel chair for many years he took a keen interest in the club athletes and will be sadly missed by those of us fortunate enough to have known him.

In addition:

The funeral will take place on Thurs.18th.Dec.at 1pm.at The Chiltern Crematorium,(Milton Chapel),Whielden Lane,Amersham,HP7 0ND.
The Wake will be held at The Hillingdon A.C. clubhouse.
Donations are welcome to the Chilterns MS Centre.
