Race united and build on the success.

If you don’t know, and if you don’t know, where have you been? The next Met XC League fixture is at Ruislip on the 17th December starting at 1.15pm for the first junior’s race. Details here.

After a much improved turnout and performance last time out for all our teams at an enjoyable and well contested Stevenage fixture. Let’s make home advantage count at the next one by showing we are the biggest and best club in the league, if only for 1 fixture! All Club members are eligible to compete and can just turn up on the day and compete.

The competition hasn’t stood still and are turning the screw by putting out teams of high quantity and quality which I know HAC can match and in some cases better. To make home advantage count we need more club members competing! Even if you haven’t done a XC race in ages or never, think it isn’t for you, had a bad experience last time over the country, don’t have a club vest (can be purchased or borrowed) we the current HAC team would like to see you compete at this fixture. It is on our doorstep and we nearly all train in the woods so what’s stopping you? I can think of a few reasons barring injury such as Christmas shopping, family, work etc. but we hope you can make arrangements to fit this fixture in. Students we need you home and racing this one too. Don’t you pack up studies in mid November anyway? As an added bonus, the clubhouse team have planned food, drink and er… Alan’s music for after the fixture starting at 5pm.

Many of our members don’t read this website, I know, they must be crazy or something! So it might be up to you to pass the message on and also to Bust a Ghost member to compete! Ghost members, you know them! The one’s that you see stalking the clubhouse and training sessions but aren’t able to spirit themselves to fixtures! Are they real or just a figment of our imagination? They look fit and able! It certainly would send a shiver up the competitions spine if they raced at Ruislip!

Let’s have some fun together as a club united on the 17th.
