HAC athletes race near and far.

A clutch of Hillingdon athletes  wore the club gear on Sunday 30th September traveled to various races home and away.

4 Athletes settled for the comforts of home by competing in the undulating Moor Park 10K. James Manley finished 6th in a time of 37.43, Paul Hull V40 was less than a minute behind, finishing 14th in 38.36. Dave Smith’s V40 time of 41.12 got him third and Gary Taylor V40 completed it in 47.22 coming 135th. The winner was Matthew Woodman of Stafford Harriers in 34.48. Hillingdon AC was also well represented at Moor park in the U15 boys 3.9km ‘fun run’ with Liam Holbrook finishing 2nd, Brandon Filby 3rd and Sebastian Mills 4th.
We also had a 2nd and 3rd in the under 12 boys and girls fun runs! Anna Gizzi came 3rd for the girls and Harrison Filby came 2nd for the boys!

Dan Thompson made the weekend of it by travelling to the West country to hunt a quick time in the Bristol Half Marathon. In breezy conditions he ran a PB time of 76.12 finishing 58th  The race was one by Dominic Ondoro in 62.51 Full Results here.

10 weeks after giving birth, Eva Mack ran 1:49.33 in the Ealing Half marathon. Full Results here.

I went further a field to compete in the Berlin Marathon, Germany. It was my first attempt at the marathon and I finished 214th with a pleasing  2:42.30, some distance behind Geoffrey Mutai’s winning time of 2:04.15 Full Results here.
