Two fixtures down and we’ve had a real mix of weather for our cross country team in The Start Fitness Met League reports Diane Gibbons.
First fixture was at Claybury, conditions were lovely for racing and we had a reasonable turnout considering the distance. Well done to everyone who competed – notable results were in u11’s 2nd Abdiraham Hamud, 9th Lydia Louw, u13 boys 2nd Mohamed Sharif, 7 th Adam Ireland,
Stevenage was this Saturday and brought perfect weather for ducks! There was torrential weather at times during many of the races so I think they all deserve a medal ! In the u 11’a race Abdiraham Hamud came 6 th with Lydia Louw coming 9 th also being the first girl home, U13 boys Adam Ireland was home 14 th. In the u17 men’s race Erzen Llapabhtica came 17 th. Well done to everyone who came and competed.
The next fixture is on Sat 5 December at Wormwood Scrubs . As this is not too far away, let’s hope we have a large turnout. Full set of results and league tables are here
