Dennis Eyres RIP

Dennis Eyres a club member since 1942 has died at the age of 92.
Dennis was a top middle distance runner who,in addition to great domestic success, narrowly missed selection for the 1948 Olympics, but went on to win international honours over the next two years. Dennis  remained loyal to HAC until ill health forced him to retire from running a few years ago.  The achievments he reached never went to his head and he always said he was happiest when running with his friends at Ruislip through the woods.

He was a loyal and devoted member of our club and he will sorely missed.

Those wishing to attend the Funeral the arrangements are as follows :

Ruislip Crematorium, Wed. 17th Oct. 2pm

Please be at the clubhouse before 1-45pm

There will be light refreshments in the clubhouse after the service.

Alan Chidley & Harry Wild
