Chichester 10K & Watford Half Marathon

A clutch of HAC men headed down to the ancient City of Chichester on Sunday 3rd February to plunder some wanted PB’s in the Chichester 10K reports Martin Bateman.

The day was cold and windy which tempered the fact that it is a quick gently undulating course stacked full of quality athletes. Rob Thompson U23 was our top athlete taking on the assembled legions at the sharp end. Rob put plenty to the sword finishing in 18th place with a PB of 31:51 mins.  I had a positive race finishing 12 seconds from my PB in 43rd with 33:15 and Stefan Dokic V55 looked strong after racing the previous day to clock 43:03 in 366th spot.  We were ably supported by the side of the road by Tony Grant & Dan & Steve Thompson.

On the same day at least 10 HAC members took on the bigger challenge of the Watford Half Marathon. First HAC finisher was Dave Newman in 1.30:22 in 203rd place. To find out how the other did please see the results here.
