BMC Grand Prix Final, 25th August 2012

Matthew Fayers continued his impressive streak of PB’ing at nearly every race in recent months with another fine run at a windy Bedford on Saturday. 18 year old Matt was up against senior seasoned competitiors in the “A” 1500m race and finished second overall and first in the incorporated quasi Inter Counties results behind Irishman Thomas Chamney. Matt’s time of 3.45.93 broke his own U20 club record and moved him to 3rd in the UK U20 rankings for 2012.

21 year old Robert Thompson also competed at the same fixture but over the 5k distance. Racing in the “C” race Rob ran a solid time of 15:34.24 to show good form going into the autumn series of races. Results here.
