The Hillingdon Hurdler Strikes Again!!

On Sunday 24th February Jack Kirby hurdled his way to being crowned England Athletics U17 60m hurdles indoor champion reports Angela Wilcox.
Jack was among 21 of the top U17 hurdlers lined up at the National Indoor Arena at Birmingham to compete for the title.
In a nervous first heat Jack crossed the line first in a slower than expected 8.20 seconds.  However, after some calming words, he later stormed to victory in the final, recording a time of 7.94 seconds.

Not only was this a new pb for Jack and continues his reign as No 1 in the UK, it also ranks him the 3rd fastest U17 indoor 60m hurdler ever!!!!  A superb achievement for the Hillingdon athlete – well done Jack.
