Wilkie Mile 2025

Tuesday 1st July saw the 2025 edition of the Wilkie Mile!

It was great to see such a large turnout from both competitors and spectators, a big thank you to our officials Gavin Collett and Phil Welch!

On a sunny and stifling evening, members participated in the four races, there were events for everyone:

One mile race, for estimated times over 6 mins 30 secs

One mile race, for estimated times under 6 mins 30 secs

One mile relay

Watchless “Guess Your Time” one mile race

Race one:

Sam Hurley: 6.18.4

William Spencer: 6:26.5

Jack Edwards: 6.30.2

Race two:

James Laing: 4.45.5

Charlie Edwards: 5.12.1

Matt Zimmerman: 5.20.3

Congratulations to Katie Newman (76.8), Jake Burchell (65.9), Paige Harvey (77.8) and Matt Zimmerman (62.5) for winning the relay race!

Watchless “Guess Your Time” one mile race

Steven O’Keefe won the Watchless “Guess Your Time” one mile race, predicting a time of 7.30, finishing in 7.28.1, followed by Steve Hirons, predicting 6.24 and finishing in 6.20.6 and Ed Harrison, predicting 7.27, finishing in 7.30.5
