Great running by two of Hillingdon AC athletes, Nicole McGovern and Amit Solanki, at the Watford Open Meeting on Wednesday 12th June, reports Idris Hamud.
Nicole McGovern ran 2.17.14 over the 800m. This performance qualified her to compete at the English Schools T & F early next month in Birmingham. Nicole is currently the 4th fastest girl over the 800m in the country (u15 girls bottom year). Nicole’s time of 2.17.14 is one second off Hillingdon AC u15 girls club record of Anne Winter that stood since 1981.
Nicole is the Middlesex County u15G 800m champion , 2nd at the Berkshire County Schools Championships (800m) and 2nd at the Middlesex Cross Country Championships.
