South Of England Cross Country Championships, Parliament Hill, 30 January 2016

Hillingdon AC’s senior men finished 23rd at the South of England Cross Country Championships in very soft and muddy underfoot conditions at Parliament Hill.

Competing over a distance of nine miles across challenging, hilly terrain, James Laing was the club’s first scorer in 131st position with the scoring six for the team completed by Ed Campbell (163rd), Alex Ozdemir (209th), Dan Thompson (275th), Simon Connell (317th) and Paul Leppard (374th).

Joel Pope finished in 480th, Dave Newman 634th, Brett Hutchinson 766th, Andrew Malyan 793rd, Dan Spinks 915th, John Bignell 940th and Graham Wood 1004th. There were 1026 finishers in total in the Men’s race.

Dominic Speight was the club’s sole representative in the Under 20 Men’s race, finishing in 60th position out of a total field of 94.
