A small merry band us headed into Central London yesterday to compete in the Serpentine Last Friday of the Month 5K race, on a perfect day for racing, reports Martin Bateman. As usual the standard and depth of competitors across the age groups was high with the overall winning time of 15.08 on a decent course in Hyde Park that avoids most of the festive crowds.
