Scorching Sunday 1st July

As the youngsters were running, jumping and throwing PBs in the YDL match (see below) and the temperatures rose to 30C, various HAC members attended four different races on Sunday 1st July. So, here we go, in alphabetical order.

Grand Canal Marathon Challenge

Babz Kedge, Debbie Brown and Zoe Dobbs who took on the Grand Canal marathon Challenge in aid of Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals. 26.2 miles along the canal in that heat deserves a huge well done.

Ickenham 5

A local favourite saw seven HAC members compete in the Ickenham 5. Sadly the late announcement of this race meant many members were already committed elsewhere. Hopefully we will be back in force next year!

Congratulations to Gemma Barry and Kathy Carruthers who finished 2nd and 3rd ladies respectively.

Well done to all who competed and welcome aboard to Bradley Birch who finished in an impressive 4th position in his inaugural race for HAC.

Regents Park 10km

Further afield eight HAC members enjoyed a sunny 10km in Regents Park. Results can be found here http://racetecresults.com/results.aspx?CId=16586&RId=258

Last but not least is the official July Summer Series race. Six HAC members competed and the ladies cleaned up with Hannah Wells and Ciara Williams finishing first and second lady respectively. Freya Hollingsworth finished as the third team member to score resulting in a win for the ladies affiliated team trophy. Well done ladies!
