Metropolitan League Race 2, Stevenage, 09 November 2013

Another strong turnout from Hillingdon AC’s Senior Men in the Metropolitan League with 40 athletes in attendance saw the A team finish eighth in Division One and the B team finish third in Division Three. The A team are now placed eighth overall after two fixtures in Division One, whilst the B team now sit in second place overall in Division Three.

Robert Thompson was again first scorer for the club in 11th place with training partner James Laing the only other Hillingdon athlete to finish inside the first 100 as he placed 34th. Behind Rob and James, the club packed in the next four finishers within six places with Daniel Thompson, Tom Hall, James Manley and Dean Clark taking positions between 119th and 124th. Chris Ingram had a much improved race compared to his performance at the first Met League at Claybury finishing 144th whilst the scoring 12 for the A team was completed by Richard Jenkin in 198th.

The scoring eight for the B team was completed within 48 places with Alex Ozdemir the first B team scorer in 219th and Pete Warburton the last scorer in 267th whilst there were Met League debuts for Andrew Paterson, Jeremy Collis, Ben Smith and Paul Martin.
