London Cross Country Championship, 16 November 2013

Fifteen Senior Men from Hillingdon AC braved the testing 10km course at Parliament Hill on Saturday 16 November led home by James Laing who finished eighth, just two places in front of club mate Robert Thompson in 10th. Ed Campbell was the next Hillingdon finisher in 58th with the final scoring place in the four to score team competition being completed by Wes Godfrey in 91st. The team finished 9th out of the 25 clubs to finish four scorers whilst there was a club cross country debut for Wes and season’s debuts for Dave Smith and Paul Hull.

Juniors improve at London Champs

Hillingdon u/17 boys showed improving team signs with a 4th team place at the London X/C Championship at Parliament Hill. Against the top junior athletes over a 4.5K tough course Ruben Vos came 11th in 17.05 Sam Lloyd 18th in 17.48 and 3rd scorer Liam Holbrook 25th in 18 03. Recent performances as shown signs of closing the gap on the leading u/17 racers reports Stevan Dokic.
