Well done to the 24 ladies who turned up at Trent Park and ensured that all teams did well including our senior B team who, despite lying 9th out of 12 teams in the division, amassed more points than 4 teams around them and finished a safe ninth and almost caught up the team above them, reports Andy Torrance.
The A team narrowly failed to hold onto 5th place in the top division dropping one place but a still creditable result out of 12 teams.
The C team also did well and finish 8th out of 20 teams in their division.
And what about the Veterans teams???
The A team struggled a little bit today but still end up as 6th out of 12 teams in the top Veterans division. The B team today did very well and finished a good 5th out of 12 teams and finish well ahead of the teams below them.
And the C team???
Leading their division at the start of the day we were looking for enough scorers to hold onto that position. Mel and I were delighted at the attitude of the army of Vet runners who turned up and ran despite some carrying injuries or not having run this season. No one can ask for anymore than that.
But did we run well enough on the day???
Well our C team today scored more points than all the other teams in their division put together and literally ran away with the Vets Division 3 title!!!!!! A HUGE congratulations to all who made that possible!!!!!!!
And well done to EVERYONE who ran today – we had 24 starters and 24 finishers!!!
The ladies team would like to thank Mel Spencer and Andy Torrance for organising and supporting us all this season.
