Juniors XC at Stevenage ATW Met League, 10th November 2012

Another good turnout for our junior cross country runners reports Dianne Gibbons. On a fine November lunch time we had a good consistent run by the u13 boys with Chris Corker (26th ) being our first runner home. After 2 races they are in 8th and 12th place.
In the u13 girls race , a strong race by Anna Gizzi gave her 5th place with the rest of the girls finishing close to each other. Overall the team are in 7th place after 2 races.
In the u15/17 race our first runner home was Jack Treanor in 22nd place. We had a further 8 runners taking part in this age group in this competitive race .
Our u15/17 women team was a little low on numbers this race but hopefully our numbers will increase at the next XC at Ally Pally. Chelsea Pledge was the first lady home in 28th position making Hillingdon 13th after 2 races. It is lovely to see so many Hillingdon AC Juniors cross country racers after a few lean years- long may this continue !
