HAC U13 Boys take the win at Windy Welwyn!
Well done to all our juniors who competed in a very wet, windy and muddy Met league at Welwyn on Saturday!
Big congratulations to Natalia Radomska and Charna-Jo Booth competing in their first Met League (not all races are this wet or muddy!)
But the big news of the day is the outstanding performance by our U13 Boys team who took first place. They were led home by Dylan Lewis, who has been consistently brilliant all season and came 2nd yesterday. He was supported by some excellent performances from his team mates – Charlie Reed (7th); Lewis Wake (17th); Adam Strinic (23rd) and Josh Hounsell (39th). They currently sit 3rd in the league and we are excited to see what they produce at the Middlx champs next week .
In her first Met league since being crowned London Youth Games XC champion – Elsie Fitzgerald produced another strong performance to finish 4th in the U11G, with Anabelle Shotton also getting a Top 20 place (18th).
Well done to our other Top 10 placing athletes:
Edey Kestell (10th U13G)
Amae Van Zyl (10th U15G)
As always thank you to all our fantastic coaches for preparing the junior athletes so well and to all the friends and family for braving the rain and mud to support the children.
The fifth and final Met league of the season is on 11th Feb at Trent Park – lets try and get a good turnout to ensure we get maximum points and finish on a high!
Best of luck of all our junior athletes competing in Schools Cross Country Competitions over the coming weeks and in the Middlesex County Cross Country next week – you’ll absolutely smash it!
