Bath Half – Spencer Harding

As the only Hillingdon AC representative for the Bath Half, I wanted to make the club proud. On a weekend getaway in this gorgeous city, I decided to celebrate my birthday with a Bath Skyline parkrun shake-out before the iconic half-marathon!

It was highly recommended and had been on my bucket list for ages! Unfortunately, in preparation for the half, I had to indulge in much carb-loading, but thankfully, the extra weight didn’t slow me down too much. The course was two laps of the outskirts of the city with a super steep incline finish to the famous Royal Crescent.

I was pleasantly surprised despite my ongoing ankle injury, I managed to finish in 1hr 37, which wasn’t too far off my PB. I finished 1413th out of 10k+ runners, not too shabby for an old bloke like me, huh?! 🥳
