Devil Takes the Hindmost

A good field of 21 competed at Rochester Road hill in the 2023 edition of the annual Devil Takes the Hindmost.

After a brief drizzle subsided on the chilly evening, the competition was split into two; the eight women plus two men over 60 and the remaining 11 men under 60. Early exitees from both then contested a plate competition.

Ultra-star Kallum Pritchard held off the youthful challenge from Stevan Dokic’s training group to be crowned Club champion. New over 60 Steve Hirons celebrated in style by holding off Nicky Alvarez-Penty, whilst Jeremy Cox defeated Andrew Malyan in the Plate contest.
