Bath and Berkhamstead Half Marathons

Three HAC athletes headed west to the beautiful city of Bath on Sunday 3rd March to compete in the Bath Half Marathon reports Martin Bateman. It was a cold crisp morning which was good for racing hard over 13.1 miles. I had a good race, pushing the pace early on which ultimately earned my PB time of 1:13.43 in 52nd place. Mother and Daughter running duo Angela Duncan V70 and Lucy Duncan V35 also made the trip down the M4 to compete, albeit they had the sense to make a weekend of it. Lucy finished in 1:54.54 and Angela in 2:05.50. Anupam Das who recently became only second claim for HAC and lives in Bath just sneaked a PB of 1:11.53 in 37th. Results here.

Sam Blanshard also had the urge to race a HM on Sunday and finished 3rd in the Berkhamstead HM with 1:17.38. Results here.
